Oxygen Tango’s Mission Visit Also: Who’s Leading Classes at Oxygen Who’s Helping at the School The vision of Oxygen Tango is to be an ideal learning environment for Tango. We strive to be a magnetic and inspiring place for teachers and artists of the highest caliber, while making the joy and fun of Tango accessible for total beginner. Through Oxygen’s logical curriculum, teaching team, and innovative events, those who learn Tango here have become fine, sensitive, intelligent, creative dancers who support one another; contribute to a vibrant local Tango community; and participate in national festivals. Since 2008, through a 'One Tree Per Dancer' philosophy at events, Oxygen Tango has planted 6,405 trees with The Nature Conservancy. Mitra Martin and Stefan Fabry are the founders and full-time directors of this school. Both are utterly devoted to Tango; Mitra since a trip to Buenos Aires in 1998 changed her life and Stefan since a walk down Third Street Promenade in 2003 changed his.
