Get a peek of what it's like to learn improvised, social Argentine Tango at this beloved school in West LA!

Welcome! Oxygen Tango is a passionate, supportive community where absolute beginners grow into social tango dancers.

What do I need for my first tango class ?

Comfy Clothes to Dance In

Wear whatever makes you feel wonderful and connected. Nice, casual. Choose clothes that give you freedom to move your legs, no pencil skirts.

Comfy Shoes

Leather soles please! For ladies, a low-heeled comfortable shoe with a closed toe. For guys, dress shoes/loafers, on the narrow side. You can also get by in sneakers like Converses or Toms shoes.

You’ll be exerting yourself a bit, so be sure to stay hydrated!

Breath Mints

A Tango dancer necessity! But don’t worry, we have some on hand in case you forget.

I'm nervous. What am I getting myself into?

Oxygen Tango is perfect for absolute beginners. Tango takes a lot of practice and time. We are a community of people who support each other in our tango dreams and welcome new dancers every week! Also, watch this video...

What about a partner? Do I need a partner ?!!??

No partner needed! You’ll meet friends and dance partners in class. Most people come solo, and we rotate partners in class. You’re also welcome to bring a partner or a friend or two! Either way is perfect.

Where are you located?

Oxygen Tango currently holds classes at reDiscover Center at 12958 W. Washington Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90066. It's basically Mar Vista, close to Marina Del Rey and Venice, but technically it's that thin part of Culver City that stretches far west down Washington Blvd.

Where can I park?

Please leave extra time to find parking on the side streets.
